Omnilyne Limited is a company based in Ndola that
is dedicated to the sourcing, supply, and installation
of electrical equipment and the sourcing and supply
of mechanical parts and refractories. It also special-
izes in the marketing and distribution of specialized
consumer and industrial adhesives.
Its main goal is to bring Zambia closer to new sus-
tainable and renewable energy resource equipment
and processes, which will surely increase employ-
ment opportunities.
Omnilyne began operations in 1995 with the impor-
tation and distribution of a range of consumer and
industrial adhesives manufactured by Pratley (Pty.)
Ltd. of Krugersdorp, RSA.
Full national distribution in retail hardware and au-
tomotive accessories outlets was achieved by early
1996, and today, the company remains Pratley’s sole
distributors for Zambia. Stock of consumer and in-
dustrial presentations of the adhesives is maintained
in the Ndola premises for rapid delivery. Apart from
the Pratley distributorship, it is the sole agent for
Marthinussen & Coutts, Aberdare Cables, and Ac-
tom Products.
In parallel with the adhesives venture, long-term,
regular supplier/client relationships have been es-
tablished with major Zambian industrial users in
the fields of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration
equipment.
Omnilyne has several important ongoing projects
such as the supply of new 11 kV switchgears for new
shafts, the extension of existing power factor cor-
rection equipment, and also the repair and return of
large rotating electrical machines and transformers.

Oryx Energies is a growing provider of energy solu-

Its integrated supply, storage, and distribution
model and the quality of its African energy platform

fully-integrated value chain. Its licenses to import
and distribute petroleum products have enabled the
company to develop petroleum product sourcing
via its trading arm and to supply commercial, indus-
trial, and retail products to customers. Meanwhile,
its policy of continuous investment in the country
has led to the development of its own service sta-
tions under the Oryx brand where the company of-
fers a wide range of additional products including
lubricants and LPG.
Oryx Energies has a diesel fuel storage depot and
a lubricants warehouse in Ndola. It supplies fuels
and lubricants to construction, manufacturing, and
mining services to companies as well as to the ex-
panding agricultural and hospitality sectors, thanks
to its strategically located gasoil and lubricant stor-
age facilities.
The company also supplies high quality lubricants
to a growing number of commercial and industrial
customers and service stations.
Oryx Energies opened a LPG storage and filling
plant in Ndola in 2012. This is part of its strategy
to offer a reliable and lower-cost energy solution
to domestic consumers and businesses across Af-
rica. The company ensures distribution via selected
third parties who meet its quality, safety, and ser-
vice standards.
