First Capital Bank, formerly known as International
Commercial Bank Zambia Limited, commenced
banking operations in June 2010. In July 2013, the
bank was acquired by a group of investors led by
First Merchant Bank Malawi (FMB), and it was re-
named First Capital Bank (FCB). FCB is part of the
FMB Group, which has banking operations in Ma-
lawi, Mozambique, and Botswana.
With a flexible and innovative customer-focused ap-
proach, FCB’s growing network of branches offers
a full range of cross-border and traditional banking
services to retail, commercial, and corporate bank-
ing clients.
Adequate and efficient communication and monitor-
ing systems are in place to ensure that the directors
receive all relevant, accurate information to guide
them in making strategic decisions, providing effec-

FNB can trace its origins back to the Eastern Prov-
ince Bank, which was formed in Grahamstown,
South Africa in 1838.
Today, its branches extend throughout South Africa
