Mr. Elhamy El-Zayat, Chairman & CEO and the founder of emeco travel, is currently the Chairman of the Egyptian Travel Agents Association first year of his second term. He has also served as Vice Chairman and member of the board during the preceding twelve years of his appointment as Chairman. He is also the Chairman of the Tourism Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt. He is currently the member of the board of the Cairo International Convention Center and has served for 8 years as the President of Euromic (European Meeting, Incentive and Convention) the most prestigious private consortium of Destination Management Companies.

emeco travel was founded in November 1976 as the General Sales Agent for Pan American World Airways; this General Sales Agency lasted until December 1991 when Pan America suspended all its activities worldwide.
emeco travel employs 203 people who speak all major languages and are highly trained and specialized in the various travel and tourism activities.
In its effort to pioneer new markets, emeco travel introduced incentive & Conference travel to Egypt and is now by far the leading company in those fields.
At the end of 1988 emeco travel has introduced its guaranteed daily tours that includes the most attraction / important sites in Cairo. After three months of operation it was considered the best service offered in the market.
